Mission Statement

Hello, and Welcome to our “Daycare Center & Preschool” here in Washougal      Washington. The Riverside Christian Daycare Center & Preschool is dedicated to providing a Christ-Centered Early Childhood Development Experience for the young people of this community. It also commits itself to being a Christian example in the community, offering opportunity for a Christ-centered learning experience to all who enroll. The providers are registered with the State and have Early Childhood knowledge Experience backgrounds.

We are here because there is a great need for Childcare in this Community. We are associated with The Riverside Seventh Day Adventist Christian Church and School. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Community, Church and the School. We all know that the need is here and we will try and do our best to provide a happy, safe, nurturing and loving Christian environment for all the children here at the center.

Goals For The Center
 
1.  Provide an excellent learning environment.
Provide cost effective childcare for parents that have kids enrolled at Riverside school.
Support parent need for one drop off place.
Increase financial income to our school in order to expand program.
Increase enrollment for our school.
 
Our goal is to provide a safe and happy and positive experience for the children as well as for the parents. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact the Director and/or any staff member.

Our Philosophy on children is: You need have patients...be calm and have respect for children...Respect the whole child includes respect for Cultural and Religious values...Most importantly, to know each child as an individual. In support of this we are creating a positive, caring environment where Christian love and virtue are taught by instruction and example.
 
Caring and teaching young children has it’s own set of challenges and rewards. The activities for children vary with the different ages and stages. Matching individual children with the right range of activities is important work. Not all children develop at the same rate. We tend to find that helping children find their own solutions rather than serving as a judge and jury for all their disputes.

We are licensed for 43 children, and operate under rules and regulations of the Division of Childcare and early Learning (DCCEL) of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). If you have any questions about our Daycare License you can reach our Daycare Center Licenser:

Hours of Operation

Riverside Christian Daycare & Preschool is open to take Registered Children, 2 1/2 years old to 12 years old, Monday-Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm. We do not provide Nighttime care.
Preschool is open from 8:30am – 12:00noon Monday – Friday
3 year olds Wednesdays & Fridays
4-5 yr olds Monday-Wednesday-Friday

Meals and Snacks

At this time we are only providing “Snacks“
Snacks we provide are Nutritious and Healthy!
An example may be: juice and crackers or milk and oatmeal cookie
They will be served at:
10:00am and 4:00pm
